Alternative Giving Options

When it comes to charitable giving, cash, checks and credit cards are often the only options that come to mind. But there are alternatives that may, depending on individual circumstances, give tax advantages and increase giving potential!

Below are some common alternatives you may not have considered. Please talk to your tax advisor to see if any of these giving methods could benefit you and your generosity.

Donor Advised Funds .:. Consider these strategic funds for possible long-term tax advantages and investment growth opportunities. Check out National Christian Foundation (www.ncfgiving.com) or talk with your tax advisor about charitable investment account options.

Investment securities .:. Did you know that you can transfer stock or mutual funds directly to our church and at the same time receive a tax benefit? Instead of paying taxes that you may owe on any capital gains tied to a particular investment, those taxes can be eliminated and your tax bill possibly lessened by contributing directly to a 501c3 organization. IRA transfers .:. As a  501(c)(3), BRCC is eligible to receive Qualified Charitable Distributions.

Employer matching gifts or volunteer grant programs .:. Some employers offer financial incentives for charitable donations of time or payroll deductions.

Planned Giving .:. Trusts, wills and estate plans are often overlooked when donors are considering ways to make the most of their resources. Consider including BRCC in your legacy!
